Christina thinks this is pretty "ghetto rigged". But, i think this is pretty 'macguyver' of me. These are the how-to instructions: 1) get a box/rotating fan (shown) 2) prop up the fan to blow vertically. I used a spray-can and a water-bucket to prevent it from tilting the wrong way. 3) take some platic 'throw-away' cups, and cut them in half with your trusty swiss army knife, so that you have 2 'cylinders'. Make sure to cut out the bottom of the cup, so that air will flow. 4) use the small-diameter cylinders for smaller gloves, and bigger diameter cylinders for the adult gloves. 5) insert the cylinders to allow the gloves to let the air flow through the glove to dry out properly 6) let dry overnight, and you're all done! Is that too much information? Oh well, maybe someone will find this useful...
While adventuring through the snow in Ouray, the kids venture off the beaten path into 1-2ft deep fresh snow...
After a furious snowball fight this afternoon, we decided to bury Cassidy up to her neck in snow. It's kinda like burying someone in sand at the beach, but with snow. Notice the little 'snow boobies' that we put on top. Of course, then Kaleb had to get all 'weird' on us and decided to take one of the snow boobies with him back to the cabin.
After some cross-country skiing in Ouray, Christina decides to climb and then roll down the hill.
Cassidy tries to ski down a small hill, and wipes out at the end.
While the kids would sled for hours and hours, this is her one and only sled during our stay in Ouray. She actually did pretty well, and only had a bit of screaming on the way down. And suprisingly no wipeout!
Cassidy sleds down the 'Vinegar Hill' sledding/tubing area in Ouray.
On our first day, we bundled up (albeit we went a bit overboard on bundling). But the kids had a blast making snowballs, digging around in the snow, and just playing around and making snow angels. Later that day, we went to a closed-off street in town, where kids can sled and tube. We bought a 2-person sled and went for hours until it got dark.
